Effects loop for tweed deluxe

Is it practical to put an effects loop in a tweed deluxe clone that I had built? I was thinking about using a synergy syn 1 with it?

No, all the dirt from a tweed deluxe comes from the power amp, which would be after a loop.

Yep to what Highgear said. Based on my experience it's best just to run all effects into the front of the amp when live, or if you are recording just add them during mixing.

You *could* get a reamping device like a Fryette Powerstation and run modulation effects in the loop of the device, but I think that it will probably affect the natural tone of the amp a little and whether you'll like that or not is trial and error.

While maybe impractical, the Power Station is the way to add post dirt effects to a tweed amp. Might be cool to load a high enough handling power Alnico speaker in the Deluxes cab, so you still have a combo amp to use. Rack mount Power Station in a rack case the amp can sit on top of... hmmmmmm....
