I just scored a used but like new Mod 50, and bought 2 mods for it (that I could actually find new!) a Bassman, and a EG5. Still looking for a SL2. Shoul;d be cheaper for me to cure my gas by changing modules I hope :banana

You will be more than happy. Two years I've owned this amp. I walk out of my room every month or so and just shake my head thinking "that thing is AWESOME!" Total tonal satisfaction, great people to do business with and tone, tone TONE. And when you are looking to go different throw in your Vox module and whatever else you have, switch out your power amp tubes and see where that takes you. You are going to be knocked out and thrilled.

    There do feel better?:)

    Super, super amp..........
    I'm enjoying my Mod100 with Twin/Vox, Bassman & Sl2 Modules.
Changed power amp tubes to Sed el34 winged "c"'s.
    Couldn't have been easier.
    Enjoy!

or my old stand by...My holy grail tone, the Bogner 101B. The modular thing really has me curious, and the idea of being able to switch mods from say a modded Marshall tone, to something more modern sounding is exciting to me:drool

I really liked the Vox mod. The SL2 is cool if you crank it. Sounded a little rackish at low volumes. Oddly I prefer the less gainy mods. Never played the EG5 though. Maybe I did though and it wasn't memorable.
