    Folks,

Not a pressing tone issue or anything...just curious.

Went to GC in Hollywood to kill some time in between appointments and wanted to play an EH Deluxe Electric Mistress flanger...they did not have any in stock and they told me it was a special order item. What is up with that? I assumed it would be a standard stock kind of item...no?

Insights? The dude seemed knowledgeable (versus some other GC experiences I've had), so I'm not sure what to say.

Odd. You can pretty much always find plenty of them used, so shouldn't be a problem for you to get one.

True, and there is a shop right next to GC that specializes in vintage gear and I know they have some (they were closed at the time)...I was more curious about the 1) availability or 2) popularity of the EH DEM. I really thought it was a commonly available pedal, so for it to be a special order item at one of the largest GC's, I was surprised.

We got some this week, they are still available from EH but probably not for long.

Mike, based on your hunch or inside info or both?

They're gonna put it in one of the smaller cast aluminum boxes? If so, I'm definitely getting one! Can't justify that big-ass folded steel enclosure on my board... :banana

Yeah, I bought one late late year and my manager buddies at GC said they usually don't stock those. I'll never get rid of mine. It's the best flange I've used ever and if they're gonna discontinue them soon, well.....
