After going through some of these, you really start to hear the importance of the secondary settings and how they interact with the primary ones.

    This is very important.
There are people who ditch El Cap because they haven't managed to realize what you mention.
Especially the Tape Bias, at least for me, plays a big part in the sound shaping

Love the Strange Arpeggios setting. The Belle Epoch setting is okay but doesn't really sound like the Belle Epoch.

Love finding settings like these that make rediscover the delay again. The El Cap is Strymon's finest work in my opinion.

Would you mind giving an example of how you are using it?

If you mean the Tape Bias, this secondary function is the most important to me as it determines if I would prefer the effect to be dominant or not since it controls the volume and headroom of the echo. So, this is the one I touch the most. I have it mostly at 11:00 but there are a few times that I like it around 3:00

Ok thanks. After I found theese frensh sugestions I havent bothered much about learning the El Cap. Love the pedal though. But the bias and crinkle are the only ones I' ve had a bit of trouble understanding what they actually do.
