Crusin through a few forums I saw a couple recent posts on these.

El34 Mesh Plates Matched pairs for $40.00 + Sh.

Anyone have any dealings with these guys or these tubes?

Other than possibly lower dissipation, are there actually any advantages to mesh or punched plate construction?

I wonder if the "air conditioning" is by design, or if they used some prepunched, surplus, stock because it was cheap.

Your Guess is as good as any LOL

They do look interesting though, They do sell a lot of audiophile tubes as well, but it looks like most everything is Chinese which could or could not be an issue.

Hard to say whether their being Chinese is a factor or not. They have as good a chance as anyone making tubes today at "getting it right" eventually. At $40 per pair, don't expect a miracle though.

Utter nonsense by the description. A high-performance product doesn't have to hide behind non-technical fluff. Generally when you see nonsense like this you can find the same product elsewhere for less than half the price.

Less than half of $40 per pair?

Marketing is marketing. Everything ever marketed "hidden behind non-technical fluff" didn't have to be, but it was. There's no definite relationship, either way, between BS marketing and reality.

Maybe, but then again maybe not, 1/2 price? where are you buying EL34's for under $10.00 each?
I find most chinese advertising to replace technical data with " Fluff " pretty regularly, most likely a cultural difference.

Though not a benchmarc, I have seen several very positive posts from audiophiles on some of their more expensive offerings.

I guess the best thing is just buy a pair, heck I have spent that much on Matched Mullard/Sovteks.

Good question, they do offer DHL shipping so I would imagine a 1 lb package would not be to obsurd.

Soon as I get a pair, I'll post the results. If there is a remote chance that these sound great and handle the abuse I would hate to think they were missed as a possible alternative just because of where they are from.

I do not expect a silver bullet, but I am hopeful that they are worth my time. That is all you can ask of any current production tube these days.

Interesting. Let us know how they are when you get them. Thanks for the post, it doesn't look like anyone else had seen these.
