EL84 and 6V6 for Hot Rod Deville

So I'm wanting to try different tubes out... I'm thinkin I have to go with JJ 6V6 to be able to handle the power... But I'm not sure about the EL84s... Anyone have some good suggestions?

Can the el84 even fit in the socket? The 6l6/6v6 are octal, I think the el84 is nine pin.

The JJ's work fine. I assume your refering to using EL84 adapters like Yellow Jackets for the EL84's. Never tried them. Bob
