Does any pedal builder make an Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress type sounding pedal that's true bypass and a smaller pedal?

    Dave,
I don't know if you've tried one..but I think the smaller Electric Mistress sounds better than the Deluxe. It's a bit smaller and can be true bypassed.
IMHO the EM is thicker and more lush sounding than the thiner DEM both sound good..but I preferd the EM (Gilmour on Animals = EM / The Police = DEM)
I've got my fingers crossed for a Micro EM or DEM...straight from EH...
But I dont' think there are any straight up clones...fulltone Choralflange might be the closest?
    :)

I was under the impression that Summers used the non-deluxe EM as well. Where did you hear that?

Anyway, yes, I prefer the non-deluxe too. I actually keep hoping EHX itself will re-release it, in small form ala the Little Big Muff.

Alex used the original as well (if anyone cares) for the opening to The Spirit of Radio as well as many othe songs. It's next on my list for sure.

Oops I may be wrong on this..not 100% I guess I was just hearing more Police tones in the DEM that I played...and something from a old guitar player might have stuck in my head? Not sure it might have been a later interview after the police...
    doh!:jo

-1 on the Choroflange being an EM replacement. Even on its own, the jury is out on the CF's flange mode, and the EH (despite the flaws) is still the only way to get that sound. The CF's flanger is much too sterile and metallic sounding.

Aye, it would be great if EH released a mini EM!

Not to mention a manual/delay time control.

I'm not sure. To my ears the regular EM sounds closer. Then again, he had his in a Pete Cornish board, so it might have been messed with.
