But seriously, I do like it alot. Any other folks around here got love for the 'socket?

They are an elegant solution and should be standard on just about every Tele.

I put them on builds which are being played in, very convenient and very easy to take back off repetitively.

Once I have the guitar all sorted out and I'm certain the finish is on for keeps, then I install a Glendale machined jack cup. So elegant, and so much better suited to a guitar with a formal look, nickel and vintage tuners, etc.

I've built four parts Tele's so far and there's an Electrosocket in each of them.

The only thing I'd change about them is I wish I had invented them.

But you would be much older now if you had at the same time.

Umm, not a Tele, but my '06 Hamer Studio has an elctrosocket.

Hamer uses them on everthing now. I absoluetly love it; wish all my guitars had one. Never gave any thought to that part of the guitar before, but I like this way better than what my other guitars have.

have one on my t style partscaster and my only complaint is that you can't use a right angle plug with them (you're forced to use a straight plug)...

Naw, you can just adjust the nuts on the jack to make it protrude a little more. I use right angle plugs all the time with mine.
