Elektron Rytm Mk2 now out

    Elektron should come out with a Trio type extension to the Rytm 2. You play, it generates parts based on the input. Then you could modify everything on the Rytm.

    For me, I get the workflow, I like the parameter locks per step, sounds great, layer with samples - all good. But frankly I’m not a drummer and it takes me forever to come up with half decent patterns to mess around with. Looking for some AI help!

    Some of the older Roland drum machines from the 90’s had random pattern generators.

    Trig conditions/conditional trigs on some Elektron products - I think Rytm 2 has it - should help a lot. Not exactly like a Trio pedal or the robot drummers in Logic/Garageband but they'll generate tons of variations on a pattern without much effort from you, the user.
