    Hi dudes...

I have sweeped the internet for soundfiles and all the quality samples are with the M90 ;o(

I like the fact that you kan do the triode thing with the M60. Furthermore, I read that the M60 can take 6l6 and KT88 tubes as well.

I have to travel a bit to hear these amps, so I'm interested in knowing what you guys think about these two amps. Where do the differ and where are they just about the same.....if at all ;o)

    Please give me your comments...

These amps have been discussed quite a bit - if you use the search function you'll find plenty of info comparing them.

Also, Todd Duane (treetopper) did a Youtube demo A/Bing between the 2 amps and has several of the M60 by itself, unless he took them down for some reason.

Yeah...I heard the treetopper clips. That was what I meant, when I said that all the quality clips were with the M90.

    It's really bad clips.....

Anyway...I'll see if I can find more here on TGP. I must have spelled wrong when I used search....

Check out the Elmwood site again, there is a clip I did of the M90 on there along with a couple of M60 clips. It should give you some idea because the recording chain was the same for both.

Great clips....... great sound and nice playing...

I know I have to take the long road and try them out.

What I really want to know is, if the M60 an sound almost as good as the M90 (I have only heard clips so far) - the M60 would suit me well as I'm gonna use at home and for small gigs with very different music. Actually...from the clips....I think I want the M90 with M60 features ;o(

When I hear the clips it sounds like the 60 has a more 'polished'/h-ifi/smooth sound and the 90 sounds more raw/brutal and unpolished......*so difficult to describe sound*

I think you right on the 60 being more smooth and the 90 more brutal. That's what I hear from it also. I love my M60.

    Thanks :)

I would agree with that, the M90 is more aggressive and has more low end than the M60. The M60 is a bit easier (compressed?) to play and I prefer it for lead playing, but it doesn't hold the low end together as well as the M90 at high volume.

No, but I tried KT77's in there and wasn't keen on them.
