I don't understand why they won't do a classic series Jazzmaster like they did with the Jag, Mustang, etc. It would certainly sell better than an Elvis Costello signature model. I love Fender, but they're a step behind on this one.

I was hoping for something more like the J Mascis - vintage specs but CIJ.

I think I'd actually violate that :messedup
I've wanted a nice JM for some time now, and while I hate that colour, I'd still like it. Any idea on price?

I really like the walnut finish with the tort guard, but I don't really see anything in the specs to differentiate this from the '62 AVRI Jazzmaster.

Am I missing something aside from the later style scripting on the headstock?

I'd really like to see a Jazzmaster with a 9.5" radius (however not in purple sparkle - I like the Mascis Jazzmaster, just not for me).

I think the rest of the changes are in the trem bar. It's meant to have more travel and a looser feel.

The Thin Skin Jazzmasters had a 9.5" radius, if you can find one.

Isn't there going to be another round of Jazzmaster Thin Skins this year? I'd wait to see what color combos there will be before going walnut stain. Imagine if you bought an Elvis and boom, you find out that you can get an oly white Jazzmaster with gold anondized pickguard and matching white headstock? just saying!
