I took the leap and changed out the stock Eminence Wizards in my Carr Vincent and replaced them with the new Eminence Elsinore. I haven't played it out yet but so far I'm digging them. They completely changed the sound of the amp for the better. Increased clarity, tightened the low end and tamed the highs. Anyone else had any luck with these?

I hadn't even heard of these. I'm going to look them up now!

The Elsinore came stock in my Carr Bloke. I'd never heard of the speaker prior.

If there's such a thing as the one the perfect match, it's the Carr and the E.
The tone is Balanced, the highs are are gorgeous, have an over abundance of fat, sweet, singing shimmer,
the mids are warm and punchie, lows are firm.

Steve has a phenominal ear and the E is perfectly voiced for Carr amp.

It's a stunning speaker I'd never heard of.

This speaker is specially made for Carr amps and is not part of the Eminence production line. I recently emailed Steve and asked about the sensitivity rating and he said is was approximately 100dB.

I wonder which speaker it's derived from and what tweaks were made.

I read this from another post:

"Steve Carr says it's a bit of a cross between a Wizard and Kingpin, with a slightly smaller magnet"

I love the Elsinore in my Rambler
    WAY better than the Wizard.

Yep, I replaced the Wizard in my Vincent with one and have been happy with the results

This is the GP where we bring gear obsession to another level.

Hearing the Elsinore had me scratching my wondering how I hadn't heard about it.

    Thank you to Steve Carr.
