    Hi guys,

I have had my Engl Ironball now for roughly one and a half year and it was working great until maybe a week ago, when the volume - while I was playing - started wobbling down, then up again, then down again, and stayed there. I thought "That's funny". Switched the amp off, gave it a minute, switched back on, everything was ok for the day. Then it did it a few more times, and now it's just done it twice in a row and I really need to figure out what's wrong.
Do you guys think the tubes are failing? Consumed tube lose their power, sure, but I never heard this phenomenon before...

    Replace Tubes to start
Strong chance that will fix the issue

(Check speaker and all cables including guitar jack)

Hi, thanks for the tips. May I ask how the cables could lead to this?

Yeah, bad tubes or cold solder joints at the tube sockets.
