May be some of you have already seen this, Dave has one of Eric's former '68 100W Tremolo head for sale, that was bought by Mr Smith: http://davesguitar.com/marshall/100-watt-plexi-super-tremelo-head-68-9323.asp

It is said that Paul had this amp reverse-engineered for one of his 25th Anniversary amp, and unfortunately the PT seems to have been sacrificed in the process..

Do some of you recognize this amp and know on which record / live it may have been used? May be some fellow TGP'ers have even heard / played it in person? :)
The price seems still a little high to me with the changed PT, and who knows what they did else to have it reverse-ENG'ed?..

What do you think about this one?

    Eric has owned many Marshalls.
I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole based on the transformer change.
    Not at that price.

Sacrifice is right. To pull the windings apart and get the core correct that Marshall Tranny is destroyed.

I hope they put a respectable replacement in there.

Someone will buy it for the Star factor.

My first thought is that if it sounds that good (of course, that's subjective), why didn't he keep it? Seems he might have kept it to at least record with it.
