Ernie Ball Wah DOA

Took advantage of the Best Buy one day deal and got a Ernie Ball wah for $39.99. It arrived today and will not pass signal. I tried battery and AC. If I click it on, I can hear "wah hiss" but no guitar. I'll contact EB or Best Buy tomorrow, just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

That's a really great deal. The build on the wah is built like a brick sh$t house. Some people like em, some don't. I have one it's not bad, but I'm not much of a pedal guy.
