Well "the blues" is a pretty wide target! If you like blues tones like the classic 60s Clapton tones then I'd say get a good old Marshall and some earplugs. I have a couple of homebrew 50W "plexis" which sound incredible with my 335. But then a tweed Twin sounds great with a 335 for more Freddie King kinda tones. I personally don't really go for a 335 with a BF Fender but lotsa folks do.

I also rate a good 5E3 tweed Deluxe with a 335. So I guess my suggestions would be tweeds and old-school Marshalls. But 335s can sound bluesy with lots of amps. Depends whose blues you like!

Of course, if you're after the Carlton sound, get something in the D camp.

Agree with all post before, a BF Fender or even a used Vibro King is killer with a 335.

A 335 makes about any tube amp sing all day long.

I play my ES335 through a Mesa Boogie Mk III blue label combo. That nails the Carlton tone and singing sustain. A Fender tube amp always sounds good with a 335 too.

I really like the sound of a 335 and a vibrolux reverb for smaller to medium gigs. Great, versatile rig.
