I have searched and cannot find a post that answers this question. That means there are probably a trillion of them, but...I'd take either an answer or a link and being called a dumba**.

that's because the answer is "it depends".

on vintage and nice modern reissues they use the same regular PAF-type pickups as LPs or anything else, so most likely the pickups will have long legs. on off-brand and weird '70s-'80s ones who knows?

Thanks for responding. I couldn't even find a post that said that much. I'm interested in the answer specifically for 335's...Gibson.

I think he means that with the non-reissues, even with Gibson you can't be sure if every year had long legs. The reissues would have long legs certainly but they play around with the specs of their other guitars sometimes.

I'm thinking about a 59 RI, so...long? I can always check next time I change strings. Just would like to know in case I see a set I'm interested in.
