I was going through the hard drive and found this clip I had cut up. Chapin Stratahoula - Lovepedal Eternity - 69 Super Reverb. The Eternity really is awesome. The clip is pretty long so you might want to download it first. Note my look at the overzealous drummer at 2:35(The room was not very busy!) LOL!!!!

I've got a buddy that's been talkin' the Eternity up, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

    Thanks for the clip!

Sounds nice! Can you tell me what amount of gain the Eternity has? Where was the gain set for your clip?

The Eternity has a good amount of gain on tap, it was set with the volume around half(a good boost), treble boost at 10 o'clock, gain at around 11oclock(less than half).

Josh told me Bill Chapin wound the pickups himself for that particular guitar.

    Guitarzan,
I recognize you from the xotic website. So has the Eternity relpaced the AC booster or the BB pedal? Also I wonder if you've had the chance to check out a Zendrive, knowing how much you dig the Fuchs ODS.

They are indeed wound by Bill himself. Alnico 2 neck and mid flatpole. The middle pickup has beveled pole pieces. The bridge is flatpole alnico 5. They sound amazing, but the whole guitar is amazing!!!

The eternity is in addition to the ac and rc. I still use all of them. I prefer the AC to the BB for my applications, I have used the BB for sessions though. Currently in my rack I have the lovepedal Eternity, Balance, Karl, COT50, and a custom Octavia unit. Also the AC and RC booster, The MojoVibe, an old arion chorus, an Echo Park, and the Bradshaw super tremolo. I have not tried the zendrive, but have heard great things about it. Plus they are being made in my hometown Pembroke Pines, FL!!!

josh, what a great clip! can you compare the ac with the eternity--in terms of not only tone but feeling. is it more in the compressed ts camp as opposed to the dumbly camp.
    thanks,
    matt

I think of the AC as a great TS type pedal, no mid-hump, more open than a TS. A great pedal. The thing about the eternity is it can sound kind of like anything. With the treble booster you can get really stinging bright rock tones, full on distotion, and sweet clean boosts. It also does the low gain sweet fat tones like in the video really well. Its really really versatile. I tend to use the Eternity as my main lead tone, I have the AC set for more of a broken up rythym tone, and I bump both with the RC! As far as feel goes, no pedals I've ever tried feel like the Lovepedals. Thats the best thing about them, the react so musically!

Thats the buzz on the Zen as well. I have one on the way and would also like to try the lovepedal stuff but its too $$$$. Is the tone on the clip just the Super and eternity or is the AC on as well?

    Josh,
You're being too modest attributing your great tone to one pedal, fur chrissake!

    Best, Pete.

Yeah I'd like to try a zen. The video is just the Eternity into the super, nothing else!
