ran-dumb excessive noodlings, live audience recording with one of those tiny new mp3 recorders, using the internal mic....ouch.

thank you echoplex(damn i need to pull mine out for the live stuff one of these days), the "edge of disaster" is where i usually reside, that's for sure.

gracias scott, it's very much appreciated....
the miles nod is because of the amazing horn player that's been jammin with us, he especially nails that 70s stuff....so i'm definitely just trying to hang on, as usual.
hey the little mp3 recorder is owned by the bass player,
and i don't know the model, but it's a tiny blue thing and seems pretty brilliant....he just tosses it out in the audience and they hit record every once in a while.
actually, i think adam stark just got the same sorta thingee, his is red and has some cool lookin extra mic on it....you should ask him, because he says it sounds bitchin.

unburst, thanx very much, i'm not a strong swimmer....i need some kinda 'waterwings'(tone) to give me a little bit of comfort! cheers!
    :BEER

yo ed deG...i got your mellow hangin bro....
speaking of which...i'll call this "dogged 'n drowned blues"....

    http://www.johnzguitar.com/hubcapSB.mp3

pardon the note selection, although the last note of the solo is definitely my fave LOL...
and also the person bangin the mic around 1:15....
i'm sure it was a beer bottle or shot glass! :AOK

    sliderino!

Digging the tone and melody! Gritty with a sophisticated tint. I'm impressed w/the quality of the mp3 recording. I wasn't sure what to expect from an mp3 but it's good.

Motivated to see what mine can do. Thanks for posting.

Great stuff, dug the entire sound of the band, and the interplay, and the solo was smokin'. Loved the tone here as well, makes me want one of those Tokai Lester's even more...

Excellent stuff!!! I too am impressed with the quality of that mp3 recorder and I really dig the Miles vibe. There's nothing like the feeling you get when your band is cookin' together and all riding the same wave. Lots of energy coming through from that gig!

Great stuff. I really enjoy this Miles type of jamming.

Excellent guitar playing. I like your style: kind of agressive and funly at the same time....in simple words - hot!

A bit like what Tommy Bolin was doing with B.Cobham.

I have a Tokai as well...

the little MP3 recorded seems to do well, especially if you're just wanting a really fast decent sounding recording.
thanx to all the fellow guitar slingers for listening and commenting.
    mucho appreciated!
tommy bolin and billy cobham are massive influences on me.
here's another spazo clippette...a few beers down the road..jumping off a cliff and landing on my afro...if i had one! LOL
