I know it works well with Reaper, ... anyone used it with Audacity? One Sweetwater review said it needs a high end DAW program to work well/easily, is that true?

I'm using Audacity now and probably will be for some time ...

thanks for any insight.

Thanks for the tip, i use garageband and i see EZDrummer plugs into it...easily. Can't find any decent drum loops for the life of me, so this might do the trick. For $30, why not? I can't drum so this'll have to do - and will probably sound far better than the rest of the virtual band (me)!

hmm.. that reminds me, I do have garageband on my iMac, I'm just used to Audacity... I guess it's worth the $30 to find out ...

From what the GC guy told me you get all the discs but you only have the activation (license) codes for the particular things you bought.... I got the basic set + the Nashville expansion set (almost went for Vintage Rock too) ...

In a typical GC scenario, I first went to the drum dept. (should have known they'd be in Pro Audio) ... guy there had never heard of EZ Drummer but looked it up and said they were out of stock.

Knowing what I know about GC, I walked 40 feet to the next room to Pro Audio and asked and, sure enough they had about 6 copies right there (!) with a very helpful guy ... trust, but verify, lol. ...

Awesome samples, loaded it all up, 30 bucks and GC gave the code for ezdrummer, which also unlocked all the ez samples and the solo program where you can hear all the samples in a dedicated player. I think your license should open way more than just the Nashville one, double-check!

I have Vintage Rock, and while it sounds good, I haven't found a use for it yet. Guess I'm just not a 'vintage' guy :D

Nashville is fantastic though, I use that kit 99% of the time!

Sme of the dirges from the twisted set are cool too believe it or not. Nice for that early post punk stuff.

Nice! I picked it up yesterday and it sounds pretty good. I'm looking forward to digging deeper and see what it sounds like in a mix. It's very easy to work with, which is nice.

OK, I'm an idiot w/ this stuff. I use garageband w/ my mac....so this will work w/ garageband easily, correct?

I'm an idiot with this stuff too. Do you need a recording program to use it? Can you create loops with just the EZ Drummer application and import them into a digital multitrack?
