Anyone else psyched? I can't wait. Set in Boston, too, which is awesome.
can't effing wait.
day 1 purchase.
Yeah. My girlfriend is going to hate it. She won't see me for a week.
3 is in my top 5 games list.
New Vegas was kind of a turd.
No way, man. I can't afford to lose another month of my life.
There were rumors that F4 was going to be a MMO like TESO. Any confirmations on that?
Otherwise, I can see I'm finally going to get a next gen console.
Loooooooooved fallout 3...
I gave away my Xbox a few years back because of this game and COD MW.
Lots of fun, but too much of a time suck.
Have fun for me.
I liked Fallout 3. New Vegas didn't do it for me. It just felt like the same game all over again. Not sure what to think of a Fallout 4. If I still had a gaming console or a PC that could run modern games I would give it a shot a year after release. By then, the price drops 50% or more and there are some decent reviews posted.
mine is gonna wanna buy it the day it comes out so she can play it.
Yeah, Fallout 3 is a top 5 all time game for me. Didn't love New Vegas, though, like others have said. Fallout 4 should be a return to form.
I've owned a PS3 for years and only really played 2 games on it. Fallout 3 was one of them. Its the only game that really interested me. Unfortunately this is something that could make me need to get a PS4
don't pre-order the game. get it after 6 months the game is out. wait until all the bugs is addressed on.
I love fallout series, but bethesda hasn't been great with launching a bug free game.
Interestingly enough, I played NV first and loved the hell out of it. I bought Fallout 3 on Steam and didn't enjoy it as much. I felt that NV had a better story and gameplay. Seems like the majority opinion I've read online is that NV was closer to the older games than 3 was.
Either way, I can't wait.
You're not alone. I, too, think New Vegas is the superior game, for the reasons you stated. The storylines and sidequests were generally better, in my opinion. Also, I really enjoyed hardcore mode. I played Fallout 3 before NV, by the way. But my favorites in the series are still 1 and 2. Wasteland 2 scratched that "old school" itch for me, so now I'm looking forward to Fallout 4.
I'll probably wait for a few rounds of patches before I order, but I'm definitely interested.
I personally enjoyed Borderlands 2 a lot more than FO3 (as an FPS/RPG comparo). Better writing, better voice acting, more interesting characters, better story focus, and WAY better gameplay mechanics). But that's Bethesda....their weakness is character development and story, but their strength is wide-open exploration.
Not day 1 for me, but I'll definitely give it a play. The world needs more great single-player experiences, especially with MP and MMO stuff taking over so many IPs.
FWIW, this trailer makes me happy. Yay for colors, and no crappy green filters. It really does look like they're pushing this in a good direction.
I'm so stoked. Fallout 3 is still my favorite game, New Vegas was pretty horrible. I hope 4 is done right!
There is a glimmer of hope that it'll be released in 2015... apparently some early pre-orders indicated TBA 2015, but that might not mean anything. I'll be sad if it's holiday 2016, but I can't imagine holding off just until Spring 2016, with Batman and Uncharted 4 coming out around then. It's just been in development for so long that I can hope it'll be released this year so that next year a new Elder Scrolls could be revealed.
