I can't call myself a "fan" but everything I've heard is great. I have Wild Mountain Nation and Furr. Haven't listened to them in a while...need to.

Destroyer of the Void is the best.

I use to have Furr and think it's a great album. I haven't really ventured past that.

They are amazing. Love the songwriting and musicianship, especially American Goldwing.

I unexpectedly saw them in a dive bar in Austin during SXSW in the early/mid 2000s and didn't know who they were until I walked up and asked them after their set.

I had friends who were already waiting in line to see them play hours later down the street at another venue at the exact same time.

They were great the day that I saw them outside on a patio. Not familiar with their records though.

dug the tune they did on Fargo. Had not heard of them before that.... now I have a couple of their cds and then I found this band white buffalo that I like too that did some tunes on Sons of Anarchy. Who knew this is how I'd find music!

Yes, recently got into "constant sorrow" version off Fargo. Didn't find a lot more I liked that well when researched though.

Bump. Going to see these guys at IPA in Greenville next Tuesday. Woot!!

EDIT: Does anyone know how to get ahold of them playing Live Harvest on a medium other than vinyl? (gasp, I know)

I think bringing up Blitzen Trapper on TGP is a great idea. A new spin on a classic formula.

One of my newer favorites. Just outstanding. Disappointed I haven't seen them live yet, but honestly their past two albums disappointed me a bit.

I really like them, though tend to favor their more songwriterly stuff (All Across This Land, American Goldwing, Furr) than their proggier/groovier stuff (VII, Destroyer of the Void) or the first couple Pavementier stuff (Wild Mountain Nation, Field Rexx).

Good band! Saw them for the first time last year in Seattle, really enjoyed the show.

Liked them for years but never dove particularly deep into their catalog. "Black River Killer" was the first song I heard and I just loved it.

I only know them from Yo Gabba Gabba.

    Liked the song though!
