I've already got the Blackout Twosome fuzz (with the mod switch so I can control which circuit is first) and a Black Arts Sarcophagus...what else is a good choice? I've only got one spot left on my pedalpower and just enough space for a standard sized double box. I'd prefer something more than just a dirt with a second switch for a clean boost.

I've been loving the Earthquaker Devices Zap Machine - it's pretty wicked. Green channel is more overdrive voiced, and red channel is nasty.

The Gristle King is on my band board, great drive pedal with an independent boost.

The TC Nova Drive has been price slashed to $139. Overdrive with clean blend before, after or in parallel with distortion on 18 midi presets, selectable buffer/true bypass. Hunting for a programmable fuzz now...

Also been using my Effectrode Blackbird as a dual/triple OD - clean boost, OD, Dist (with external switcher for the "creamy/classic" switch). Pretty expensive and really fun.

i have a feeling i'm the only one that likes it, but if you can find a boss SD-2 dual overdrive, maybe give that a shot?

By gawd, if you have a Blackout Twosome and a Black Arts Sarcophagus, you could get a JHS Sweet Tea and have all of the bases covered!

i used a boss sd-2 throughout college. i really really liked it.

i was getting nostalgic & listened to some clips. wow, i never noticed the crazy cocked mids on the distortion side.

anyway, i love the tc nova drive. underrated. i'd give the overdrive side a 9 and distortion an 8. od stacked into dist, it's a 9.5, for me.

The only 2-1 that I have kept around after all these years

Zvex Super Duper (two clean boosts)

Keeley Time machine (two indipendant boosts)

Menatone KOB with a Clean boost

I reckon an EP boost with any single pedal would get the job done for those haha.

My favorite all-time OD is the KoT. Great pedal, very versatile, open, nice. Two channels to boot!

Check out the newer LP Amp11 with the independent boost ... It really is three dirt sounds in one box. The CoT boost alone sounds great as a low gainer, then dial in the other side for your standard dirt sound. Combine them for a 3rd sound that is really full.

I know you already have a 2 in 1 fuzz box, but the Earthquaker Hoof Reaper is awesome, plus you get that killer footswitchable octave up too...I like Earthquaker's take on the muff (hoof) better than the musket anyways...

Depending on what you are looking for, a KOT V4, Kingsley Jouster, or Blackstone Appliance are solid choices. I actually have a KOT V4 (high gain red side) and Kingsley Jester on separate boards. Both are great.
