Depends on your perception/ definition of "relatively clean".

I have a P12N in the Clark and a P12Q in the Vicky.
I would say the Clark does that better.

Any larger venue the Pro sits just right.

Exactly my experience. That is why I went with a 355 (ebony board) since I play classic rock through nonmastervolume Marshalls. An ES through a low gain (ie up to mid 70's) Marshall cranked is a beautiful thing, as long as you aren't standing 2 feet from the cab. You need some space or you will howl like a dog in heat.

A blackface. It also sounds great with my Marshall, as well.

Not an amp here that wouldn't sound great with a "semi-hollow body".. My 535 and Twin w/ a Keeley Blues Driver or this PR just killed a blues tone. The same guitar and my LSC had me playing those "Crusader" hits... I picked up a 335 & a 68 Super w/ my Zendrive - That was no joke either. That style of guitar one of the most versatile guitars ever made.

If money is no object, I'd choose the Vibro-King.

Otherwise the BF Super Reverb is my favorite with this guitar, with a 1x15 Vibroverb coming in a close second.

A 335 and a Vibrolux is a match made in heaven. I borrowed a friend's SF Vibrolux for a week and was loathe to give it back after playing my 335 through it.

Mine works quite well through my JTM 45 combo, (4X10) Bassman, 5E8 tweed Twin and tweed Deluxe.

...come to think of it, it sounds great through most anything - played a '61 345 through a SR for ages, and that was quite the pair indeed.

LP's and 335's are different animals, more than most people realize.

...and I love how they blow on the inside of your forearm when you get it on the boil!

My amp lineup has switched around since this thread started. So the old 335 is sounding pretty remarkable through an Allen Encore head plus Jenkins 1x15 cab, and lately through a Victoria Trem de la Trem. Gigged the 335 and Victoria Saturday outdoors, man that sounds fine!
