I'm really liking trying to get Broons Bane down by Rush. It's not too elaborate but is a challenge for me with the advancing bass note that seems to come around at the end of each arpeggiated chord before I'm ready for it lol. Beautiful Cm13 chord in it too.

Actually now that I think about it, my #1 favorite is probably Steve Morse Modoc. That took forever to learn but is SO gratifying to be able to play it and even then takes about 3 or 4 passes before getting it...Its stuff like that that you can truly see the value of knowing theory to able to write something like that I think too.

I will say I absolutely suck at finger picking and am amazed at what some people can do like Ritchie Kotzen or Johnny Winter.

Broons Bane is a good one and Rush definitely has a few to choose from, the intro to The Trees comes to mind. My biggest accomplishment was probably getting a pretty good flow on Bron-Yr-Aur but I really don't spend too much time at this point in my life trying to perfect this technique. Another one that is a bit more easy and super fun is Blackbird and of course Landslide.

That being said, I sincerely wish I had concentrated more on the finger picking style when I was younger and playing more. It is a great way to play guitar.

This one for me. Kinda tricky but cool. In some ways it's my favorite Beatles tune. Hats off to Paul's drumming on this tune by the way.

Rik Emmet has a number of killer finger style tunes; Fantasy Serenade, Moonchild, Fingertalkin, MidSummers Daydream. I have parts of all these figured out but not a complete one.

I suck at fingerpicking too. And what I do is more hydrid—thumb and index finger (and occasional middle finger)—picking than true fingerpicking. But, with that technique, I like playing Jerry Garcia’s Gomorrah a lot.

Fleetwood Mac, Never Going Back Again. The stretch with the 4 string bar is a pain but I love playing it along with the solo Buckingham does live. Just a fun song to play.

Pretty much the same songs- Needle and the Damage Done, and Can't Find My Way Home. They both sound excellent.

I love Cant Find My Way Home but it just doesn’t sound right sung an octave lower.

Maybe use a strategically placed drill press vice and a capo.

Obligatory warning to people with no critical thinking skills, this is a humorous (allegedly) response with no basis in reality. Do not attempt this at home. No, really!
