what are your constant used plug ins? what ones could you not live without?
Waves Gold bundle.
Most of the Waves plugs, esp. the Renaissaince comp, EQ & L2. Their effects are really unusual, too, MondoMod and the other one.
Also Altiverb, Bombfactory compressors, RealVerb, Digi EQ, Moogerfooger pedals, TelRay delay, Pitch 'n' Time, VocAlign...
Waves, waves, waves...:AOK
Waves has become known for their greedy business tactics in the past couple years (forcing costly upgrades) and an amazing percentage of the audio community has decided to boycott them. I haven't given waves a dime in years. For nearly every plugin they make, there's an alternative to waves that performs better, AND is cheaper.
Some of my most used plugs are:
-URS Neve-style eq
-URS Neve-style compressor
-Compressor and Filter Bank
-Eventide reverb and fx
-TriTone Digital's Hydratone eq
-TriTone Digital's ColorTone (great for taking the digital sound out of digital, and it's FREE)
-PSP Audioware Vintage Warmer (essential for digital mixing)
-SoundToys EchoBoy (Whew! GREAT delay and FX plugin)
-Anything by SoundToys, URS, or TriTone Digital
There are others in my bag of favorites, but you'll notice that none of the above are from the greedy bastards who's plugins, which once were among the best, have now been eclipsed by other hard-working companies with integrity. (Wow, do I sound bitter?)
the stock digidesign delays
sony oxford eq plug
most compression and reverb is done outside the box
The Rennaisance Maxx group. . .Renn Reverb, compressor, eq, vox, etc.
