No DL4 or DD20's or DMM's. I'm looking for a great delay, digital or analog, that's doesn't take up too much pedalboard space.

Wondering about the:
Boost D.L.A
Skreddy Echo
Others?

Guyatone MD3 has always been good to me as far as digital goes. It is tiny.

do you need tap tempo?

if not, i have had an ongoing love affair with the boss dm-2 for quite some time.

the analogman delay looks cool too.

I've used a Maxon AD9 Pro (regular boss/ibanez footprint) for a while now... I recently picked up a Wampler Analog Echo and lost interest in the Maxon... I put it up in the emporium and proceeded to do the "one last dance" session with it and I suddenly rediscovered the pedal (damn! really needed to sell it!).

In short, the maxon, assuming you don't need crystalline-clear 1 second delays, is a really nice pedal for warm & ambient solo delays or for a nice rockabilly or les paul (the guitarist, rip, not the guitar) studio sound. I think I'm keeping it, much to the wife's dismay ;)

The wampler is great, too, but is "franken-digital" at the end of the day if that bugs you (but pretty darn close to the "real thing"). You have the added benefit of longer delay w/ the wamp though. This pedal translates very well to a higher volume gig situation.

I'm curious about the malekko delays... they seem to be well priced for real bucket brigade delay boxes, but I have heard about some "glitchy" 600 pedals? Not sure if that is good intel or no. I dunno, I'd still give em a shot for the reasonable price tag!

Completely agreed. I miss having that pedal.
I'm a little bummed you didn't keep it up for sale-
I got your asking price together the day after we talked. (damn.)

Mad Professor. DBD.

+1000... I just got done foolin' around with mine for a couple hours and holy hell it's just an amazing delay. I remember purposely maxing my credit card out the week they were released (great plug for current economy status) just to get in on one, and it really was worth it... although I'm still paying for it with my minimum monthly payments several years later :D

um if the skreddy echo is not a large footprint pedal to you
(fabulous pedal by the way) the world is your oyster.

there are literally dozens of "good to great" delays skreddy delay sized and lower.
may want to narrow your search to help us give you a more specific answer.

price range? analog or digi?
