So I'm kind of familiar with the feel of the Bassman/JTM lineage of Marshall type amps. But I never spent much time with a Plexi, Super Lead, Bass spec or JCM 800. It's pretty easy to grok their gain structure from recordings/vids, but I'm wondering if people can chime in on feel (and not just for Marshalls, but variants including Germino, Dr Z, Brunetti, Friedman, etc...).
For example, would a higher gain SS rectified Small Box have tighter feel/faster response/less clean up with the volume knob than a lower gain Dirty Shirley? Same question for Dr Z SRZ vs Antidote?
