I have a goldfinger 45 combo and I just got a headshell for it today. Is it possible for someone to take a pic inside their headshell so I can see exactly where Bogner mounts the reverb tanks on the head version.

    Thanks in advance.

Why are you guy converting your combos into heads? What didn't you like about the GF in the combo format? Weight? Tone?

Wedewer just wants all the head he can get.

I dont know about him, but I prefer head becasue they are lighter, and its easier to use them with different cabinets- 1x12, 2x12, 4x12, open, closed, various speakers, etc...

I also think isolating the head seperate form the speaker is a better design from a reliability standpoint, though I've never had any issues.

Because real men play rock amps through 412's. :rotflmao

Yes it is heavy. 1st reason was speaker. Vintage 30. No thank you.

Second, I have a bunch of speaker cabs, so this gives me the option to play it with a 412 or a 212.

Sounds killer through my Germino 412.

This is a great amps. Great plexi tones and the 80's mode has some very good hotrodded marshall tones. Its a keeper.

Thanks. I tried a GF combo and liked it a lot. I prefer combos over heads, because it's one (heavy) trip to the car rather than two, and it's one less thing to plug in (OK, that may not be terribly rational, but that's how I feel about it). Just wondering if there's something you didn't like about the combo, e.g. the speaker. What speaker(s) do you prefer with that amp?

I like it with my Scumback m75's and my Heritage G12H30 75hz. He puts a g12h and a greenback in the 212's and says thats the best mix of speakers. It sounds good with the V30's until you hear it with a more full bodied speaker. Especially in the plexi mode.

I has trouble getting it from Bogner. Can't rememeber why. Mentioned it to the one Bogner dealer in town and they ended up ordering it for me. Funny part is they got it for me cheaper than Bogner quoted me. I think I paid 215.00 and Bogner wanted 245.00 at the time. It was a while ago, so I can't be sure of the price. I no longer have the amp.
