After my last vid, a few folks asked if I could compare the sounds of my '62 Princeton and '64 Princeton reverb amps.

I go back and forth a few times and them let them duke it out together. :D

Both amps had their "Intensity" dials up at about 8 and were in the lower third of their speed ranges. The '64 can go faster and slightly slower than the '62, but the '62 has a deeper, more pronounced throb.

I was having some good fun playing with iMovie, so please excuse the filter abuse. What started as simple visual clues to which amp you were hearing soon got out of hand.

Not to gush, but you should get paid for how entertaining your clips are.

I dig the black one it seems to leave the initial attack alone and then swell in the trem, which I dig. Also it seems brighter and little more compressed....very cool.

Very cool man, it doesn't matter what piece of gear you demo
as of late, the jazzmaster keeps stealing the show, that guit along
with your stylings sounds ridiculously cool...........

    Good ears!

I like the Brown trem as a foil to the Blackface trem since it can almost steal your attack if you ride it's wave at the right time. To my ears the Brown seems throbier, ( and yes, trippier :p,) while the Blackface is more open and smoother.

    cheers y'all
    :)
