Did a few searches but couldn't really find anything answering my specific question...

Does anyone know if (and if so) when Fender would announce new color options in their AVRI lines?

...hoping for a Fiesta Red revival...Thank you :-/

Fender has had their head up their ass for YEARS on the AVRI colors.... Like you, I wish they would issue the colors people want - fiesta red, lake placid blue, etc. The colors they offer - nobody wanted them when they were new let alone now!

On my list of colors I want on a Fender, those are my last for choices, and yet they're the most produced and readily available.

Since black and white are my favorite colors - I think they're doing just fine! Lol - but I could see the impatience of everyone else.

I agree Fiesta Red would be a great addition. However, surf green in the 57s (maple board) is perfect.;)

I keep hoping for some new colors in the Hot Rod Line. Would love to see Fiesta Red, Lake Placid Blue, and even Black become colors in the Hot Rod '62 Strat line. I'd have a REAL tough time deciding which to buy :D

You should check out the thin skin AVRI line... they cover many more colors across the board: strats, teles, JMs, jags in candy apple red, LPB, OTM, Fiesta Red, BMM, Seafoam Green, etc...

I'm with ya. Fenders should only be made in one color :p:

I swear they keep fiesta red as a CS color to help sell more expensive guitars :rotflmao

I wish they'd offer the '62 Hot Rod in Vintage White (the yellowed color). I saw Dave's was offering a model ('59 or '62?) in that color but I don't think the neck is as big as a HR.

Kind of ironic that you can get each of those colors on the much less expensive MIM Classic Series guitars, isn't it?

I do disagree about the "colors nobody wanted", however.

That's the one!! They offered it again in the late 80s or early 90s. A buddy of mine has one. Do you still have it? I've seen some MIJ ones.

Yes, it was my no.1 for 15 years. i've had it for about 19 years now. I wish the neck was fatter, the older I get the more I like a big beefy neck.
My no.1 now is a fat '59 necked 339 and my main Strat is now an EJ.

That's exactly the reason I got a Hot Rod. I didnt like the creamed out white in the Guitars at Daves.

I think Fender has been way too conservative lately in their choice of colors.

Look for FSRs and Thin Skins. The classic colors are available, but you have to look for them.

And yes, they should be more widely available. Why can I get a MIM Tele in Lake Placid Blue, but not an American Standard?
