fender blues deluxe mod question?

    Ok , so The blues deville has a 12ax7 phaze inverter. Does this mean its possible tp do the PAUL C MOD ( sometimes called the AMPEG MOD). I believe this is supposed to give a slight increase in midrange and take some muddiness out of the bass?

    The Paul C mod is for a cathodyne PI. The BD has a long-tailed pair. Two different animals.

    There are other mods that will do the things you described:
    Change the tone stack slope resistor to 47K, 56K, 68K. Adds mids
    Change the first cathode bypass cap to a 1uf, 2.2uf, 4.7uf... Reduces bass
