I can't quite wrap my head around this. Sometimes, it just looks so cool and sooooo 70s, in a good way.

    Other times, it looks girlish.

    What's your opinion?

Not actually a common 70s color, though I love it.

It's my favorite color since a guitar player mag cover in the early 80's, maybe even late 70's.

Fortunately we live in an era where men can play a burgundy mist guitar - and, indeed, wear burgundy mist nail varnish - without needing to be self conscious about whether it says anything bout their sexuality. If you like the colour, get one!

The three of us at the shop amicably refer to it as "Lipstick".

That said, we all agree that it's not necessarily feminine, but verrrry sexy.

Absolutely my favourite Fender color as well - I was trying to persuade my nephew to buy a pink 1962 reissue Strat a while back - he couldn't be talked into it....I wish I'd bought it now. I don't have hang ups about guitar colors whatsoever.

Used to own, (circa 2002) a Custom Shop '60's Relic Strat in finished in Burgundy Mist

Looked great, (shouldn't have let that one go) and the colour really worked with the rosewood 'board/parchment pickguard ... Would probably have looked even better had the headstock face been painted Burgundy Mist.

Not 'girlie' at all ... On the other hand, pink guitars, (IMO) do look quite 'girlie', (although each to their own).

IMO, yes it's girly. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

I like it. Had a girlfriend in high school with that exact shade of lipstick. GOOD associations for me. :)

It took a while but I like Mist as well. I just don't like matching headstocks.

I kinda like the burgundy mist color too, don't think it's too feminine either. Although not quite what I would want from a more metal like guitar, which I'm sort of shopping for at the moment, but it's still rock.

    Be comfortable in your manliness.

Paint your nails to match and make some loud, rude noize.
