Fender Custom Shop '52 Relic Tele

Seems like a pretty cool tele, with more modern version of Nocaster specs (Nocaster U neck, with a 9.5" radius board, medium jumbo frets) and all. Also has a humbucker in the neck position, and is apparently "better" than the NOS Nocasters cos of the lack of a poly coat under the nitro lacquer, which is present in the latter.

Also doesn't seem like there are too many of these floating around (used or new).

Has anyone had any experience with this tele? Comments? Recommendations? How much should a used one cost?

Haven't seen one with a humbucking pickup in the neck position...wouldn't really be a '52 copy at that point. Have played a '52 Heavy Relic Tele and it was a very good guitar. Don't remember the neck being like a Nocaster though...at least the reiusse Nocasters. The one I played is new and was around $3500...no idea for used pricing.

Thanks Peppy. Yes, agree that it prob wouldn't be a tele modelled after a '52. It would be like a Keith Richards tele eh?

Anyone else tried this before?
