i owned one, and for the most part loved it, i just always let a strat lye around unused so i sold it. Great pickups, i liked the nut. pretty good value if you buy it right.

I would've had one by now, but I just can't dig those nuts. Just prefer a bone or micarta aethetically as well as functionally.

I see they added a 22nd fret from last year's model. I think it'd look cool if they'd tint the maple so it doesn't look just like a highway one neck.

I just made a search in Fenderforum.com. All excellent reviews, the guys who own one all seem to love it. I think the features on this strat are awesome. I like the concept "modern playability with classic looks".
I am especially digging the 12 inch (?) radius board, the nitro lacquer, the satin finished neck and samarium cobalt SCN pups (have them on my HSS deluxe and think they are great but some people seem to really dislike them)..the big headstock is cool too. I bet it will look a lot more impressive in person with the big headstock and nitro finish and all. They are all "closet classic" treated too..worn-in-feel but no extreme relicing, which is great IMO.

    VERY tempting...

The CS Strat Pro is the ultimate players guitar for sure! I absolutely love mine! Everything about it is great. I wasn't sure about the SCN's and LSR nut at first, but a play later and I was hooked for life! The SCN's are very versatile in this guitar and will go from humbucker thick textures to bell like cleans with a twist of the tone knobs. And the LSR works fabulous and has no negative effect on the tone of the open strings whatsoever. I like a floating trem, and this one is very, very stable. The neck came absolutely straight and flat and has not moved in the year or so that I've had the guitar. The fret job is perfect and there is no fret rattle all the way up&down the neck even with low action. I have the rosewood board, and the C-shape neck is fuller than an American Deluxe's neck, not too fat and not too thin, but just right and very fast. Bends come easy on this neck, and it plays like butter.
I like the Nitro finish and the way it is aged with spider cracks through it. Mine weighs 7lbs 2oz. is very resonant as well as has great sustain, and is routed SSS under the pick guard. It is kinda like a Beck blended with a "69" model. The Sperzels are a nice touch as well. I use DR Pure Blues 10-46 pure nickel strings. I had to play it to become a believer, and now that I have I can say that without a doubt I will never sell this one! These guitars Rock!
