Fender Custom Shop... Why?

    It's nice that they toss in the freebies, but it's a hassle that buyers want to get all the "case candy" if you ever sell the guitar down the road. It's just clutter to keep up with, and unlike actual vintage 1960s case candy and original receipts and stuff like that, it has no collector value IMO.

    The lack of options when it comes to neck carve and nut width is baffling. If I was to order another Strat or Tele, it would most likely be from Don Grosh.

    The asking price of Fender CS gear is arbitrary.....if Fender stops including the case candy today, they're not going to knock $50 off your new guitar.

    I think when you buy a $5,000+ Custom shop guitar it should not come with strings. It’s offensive to me that a Fender thinks we need them to string up our $5,000 guitar for us like we are not mega rock stars with our own guitar techs. I’m with you OP! It’s crappy marketing tactics Fender. And we are on to you!
