    Hi Gang,
Is there any difference between Robert Cray's Inca Silver and Eric Clapton's Pewter?
I've never seen a Cray in person so I really have no idea.
    Thanks!

I think pewter is a bit darker.

Agree, they are a different hue. Inca seems to have a yellowish tint to it. The pewter color does not.

Yeah, almost everyone would agree that Pewter is 'gray'. If you asked 100 people about Inca Silver, most would say 'silver' or 'gray', but probably 5 would mention that it has a 'gold' or a 'bronze' look to it.

I have a Cray, and the color does have a hint of bronze or gold in the tint that the Pewter does mot.

I would bet that they "warm" up the clear coat on the Inca because Cray's Strat is an old one. Could very well be very close to the same Pewter with an aged clear coat.

The Pewter, IMO is more like a pencil lead type of color. Like a metallic grey. The Inca Silver is more like....silver lol.

    :agree

Inca is brighter or 'lighter' in color than their Pewter.

I think the pewter looks pretty close to charcoal frost. Inca is very silver, always want to play octaves and disco riffs on it.

Custom Shop Cray Strat I once owned (in Inca Silver).

One of the best Strats I've ever laid my hands on.

When I needed to sell, I couldn't give it away.
