One piece body or multiple pieces?

I just bought my 1st Telecaster in an Alder Body & was curious if it was one solid piece or not.

    Many thanks!

99.9% likely to be a 2 or more piece body. Of course the same can be said for the rest of the production line Fenders from the beginning.

+1 on tim's observation. It is an extremely rare occurrence that you find a 1-piece from a regular production model (I would bet it's much less than 1/1000 than a 99.9% likeliness would buy you).

Edit: Remember, a multi piece body is not a bad thing at all, especially on a solid body electric. Jose Romanillos even makes a compelling argument for multi piece TOPS on his classical acoustics!

My Hwy 1 was a 3 piece IIRC. Fantastic guitar though.

I had one that had a 3-piece body and it was a good guitar. I only got rid of it because I had too many Tele's at the time.

Mine is a 2009 sunburst. Obviously multi-piece but nicely done. I love this guitar. The only issue I have is the output jack, which I quickly replaced with an Electrosocket, and the G string when open seems a bit dead. Probably need to have the nut looked at. Tones and playability are definitely happening.

One of the things I like about the sunburst Highway One body.

You can basically count the pieces; unlike a MIM Standard with its veneer.

Both tele's were a great looking 2tsb,and I stripped both down to natural, stupidity is a reoccuring illness with me.LOL
