I have one. It's amazing! Got it used for a steal, stupidly fat neck, cartoon headstock, awesome pickups, and plays like a dream. Personally, I prefer maple caps, which this one has.
I have the 69 relic in vintage white with a maple neck. It was a limited edition about 2 years ago. I love the guitar and the neck is similar to my 1972 original Strat that I bought new. Great guitars!
you know... I like the feel of a maple board, but I'm a practical man and when it comes time for a refret a maple board requires much more work and that means much more $$. On a cheapo strat I'd just buy a new neck, but on a CS you'd probably want to save the neck and pay for the work. Just something to consider. I have a 1960 NOS rosewood that I just love. Can't go wrong with the 69 strat though: Gilmour and Hendrix man.
