A killer little combo! I've been working with my son to get his tone ramped up since his band is getting busier. We picked up this Fender a while back for $600.00, and have finally gotten his pedal board right. Under $1000.00 and this rig just kicks a**. Here's a pic:

Great amps. My Supersonic has some similar stuff and is awesome, but I wish it were a 2 x 10 actually. That's my preferred config these days.

But why not put the compressor after at least one of the gain pedals so you can get some sensitivity with them before compressing. Sorry, that just stuck out at me. Maybe you have tried it and not liked it.

Good idea, we'll give it a try. Normally using only one OD pedal I always put the comp before.

Ive been rocking a Prosonic for about 10 years!! I have found that by running the channel master high, and adding the(active) EQ to taste, you can get better power tube saturation. This works especially well with the drive channel, which gets fizzy fast. Give it a try.....oh and dont use the FX loop. hehe

Prosonics are awesome amps indeed! Another Bruce Zinky winner in the 90s era Fender line! (Tone Master, Vibro King, and Dual Professional as well - TM owner here!)

About twelve years ago, I owned a 2x10 and then also had a Prosonic head that I ran through a Marshall 4x10 closed back slant cab. Great, great tones out of both amps.

Love the Prosonics! Right now they are all I use.
I have owned a bunch of them. Right now I own 2. The ultimate Prosonic in the one off 120 watt head with Reverb that Zinky handbuilt and gave to Brad Whitford, and a combo converted to a 1/12.
Zinky had it out with Fender on the speaker config on the Prosonic combo. Bruce designed the amp and wanted a 1/12 and Fender wanted the 2/10. Bruce had a number of Red Combos done as a special run with a single 12 Vin 30. My Black combo is a replica of the ones he had done. KILLER hard rock to metal rigs through a nice closed back cab with Vin 30's!!
I rarely come of the crunch side and use my guitar volume to clean up. Super expressive amps!

This is the best advice you'll get for your Prosonic. I used to have one years ago and sold it because I wanted a Mesa Boogie :)facepalm). Luckily I've moved on from the MB, but lately I've started missing the Prosonic. Try this: flip it to 30w class A mode, dime the volume, put both gains at 0 (I found there was a bit of channel bleed... another lovable Prosonic quirk?), put all EQ knobs at 0 and start slowly increasing them until you get the level you want. For best results put Bass Mid and Treble at 10 :)
This is the classic Prosonic trick that will get you the sweetest gritty cleans you've heard in a while.

I got one on the bench right now for repair, 2x10 the mid pot feels like it broke away from the board, I started to get some good sounds out of it but it needs to be fixed first.

The Super Sonic being the kissing cousin of the Prosonic, is what I just got.

Fender cascading gains, very nice.

1x12 and I like that

Like the Prosonic, the SS is a killer amp.

Mathias Jabs of the Scorpions uses the combo. He says that it does everything his Marshalls did but more. I just read this in an older Guitar Player mag. I'll have to check one of these out.

Congrats. Killer clean channel and a drive channel that has its merits, altough it has to be tweaked until you find your tone.
