While browsing this forum I noticed several vague references to the FETTO. Even some which said they were out of production.

Well they're back in production and I just ordered one. As a 100w Marshall owner I felt I owed it to myself to try one. I thin the clips are awesome.

Fetto is my absolute favorite OD.

and Joakim is not only a great guy but I enjoy his humour very much.

    Enjoy!

Maybe you saw Bjorn's comments of BJFE from an old post on Fetto...??

Thought it worth posting here...since I own the Katrina pedal...(unless there were more then one.)

    I agree with Bjorn's assessment.

Except for me I found it stacks fine with Fuzz and other OD's and haven't noticed any load interaction issues on my end.

I am using a Marshall mostly.

Joakim didn't think I would like FETTO with a Fender amp. I do however and in a Vox it is very sweet indeed.

The sonic texture is a little moody as mentioned. But there is a beautiful quality to that mood that I find highly emotive. Bjorn used the word Enchanting and maybe we mean the same thing.

And I find it excels and shines in the mix.

Even with the gain on tap it is great as a low-medium gain OD also.

Generally I'm riding my guitar vol. with a JTM45 cranked to some tube compression going through a 1936 cab with Greenbacks.

I've had FETTO for a good length of time now and FETTO still impresses and I enjoy stepping it on very much.

If you like the audio clips you should enjoy the FETTO very much I think.

    Bjorn's comments begin:

    "Hi,

I had the opportunity to play the Katrina Fetto,
and would say this is a most original distortion pedal, classic high gain rock.
Now there are many distortionpedals but this one holds a sound in specific texture I haven't heard anywhere else in pedal form but well in high gain Marshalls. One would not be surprised as this one does not use any normal topologhy of parts
It is a bit moody pedal and it does interact with cables and load impedances of following devices.
Treble control only really allows small boost or cut of the range given or it gets to be much of either.
Stacking qualities aren't excelling but if you need a high gain pedal that does it's thing in a small package and that with refinement and don't run a very bright clean sound.....( I never do) and really there is ample gain in this pedal to just ride the volumecontrol if less is considered more.
I did try settings with the internals as suggested by herr Himmelstrutz but felt that it was tuned rightly to begin with.

Right so I know I'll have to answer this one too:

There are certain dynamic qualities that I perfer in DRD over any other distortionpedal
(Distortionpedal per my definition is one you use on a clean sound to get distortion), but there are things that the Fetto suggests in playingstyle that is inspiring in heavy distortion that is enchanting
and the Fetto is truely a superb distortion box in a class of its own."

    Hey Joakim
I read somewhere here I think that they were. But its also here that I discovered the FETTO and that led me to you.

Now I just have to wait for the mailman again.

For what I do at work, I can never be wrong, but here its ok. :)

Hehe, Monty Python is good **** and you had a point there, cause in a weak moment I think I said FETTO will be out of production. But it never happened.

    Hey Chuck.

When I saw this thread a week or so ago I checked out the FETTO and just had to order one.

Damn you Chuck, I had promised my girlfriend I wouldn't buy any more pedals.

I kid, I kid. It's my own stupid fault. I should never make promises I cant possibly keep. :)

Joakim said mine is in the post so now I just have to wait.

    A fellow pedal addict.
My wife just rolls her eyes now when I promise such things.
I take that as visual consent. :)

I'm waiting for the post too. Should be this week I figure.
Mine will have to compete with a Cornish SS-2/G2 for playing time.

    Joakim's videos are addicting.
