Fiesta red strat with rosewood fretboard: What pickguard?

I bought this custom made guitar for my son's birthday 2 yrs. ago.

He'd been looking for a Fiesta Red strat with certain appointments ,and he told me what they were, so I made the guitar a reality.

Here's his guitar.

Mint green for me

Though for an alternative, the black guard is kinda a cool option.

I actually like white pearloid or black pearloid - although I guess they may look a bit dated.

I recently built this Warmoth Strat. The neck is pau ferro but still a nice combination. Couldn't imagine it any other way!

I would add parchment to the mix. I love mint green too, but they are often too green and not subtle enough for me.

MJT body, MIJ Fender Foto Flame neck, white 3 ply guard.

Tiny approved.

I voted black, but the black covers and knobs really set off the white on this one.

Aged white if you can find it. The mint green is pretty cool, but a nicely aged-to-almost-cream scratch plate may be the right aesthetic for an aged fiesta red. The bright white is wrong, however, and jars.

Until the very end of 1964 (and occasionally into early '65) pickguards were green.

I voted mint, but red tortoise is a REALLY close second.

Another vote for Parchment. Otherwise out of your examples I like the mint green best if it is actually that color. As was pointed out, mint can vary tremendously. Parchment would be my choice if it was my guitar

I’m about to do a Fiesta Red build (Warmoth) and will choose parchment. Like someone else mentioned, the period-correct mint green guard just looks too green from the many pics I’ve seen from newer manufacturers.

Nothing wrong with the other two, but to me they become the emphasis and detract from the Fiesta Red. Wouldn't!
