In a nutshell this is categorically the best amp I've ever owned. I won't go too much into the features, however what I can say is that David Friedman has successfully isolated the 'best of Marshall' gene and incorporated its DNA into the Marsha. The notes are full, balanced and clean while the amp retains (and augments) the distinct, vintage Marshall growl, thump, clarity and headroom...

This amp is truly a joy to play through and I recommend it to anyone who loves the untamed Marshall bliss, and also needs that extra gain on tap, without compromising the amp's tonal integrity.

I should be putting some clips up as soon as I can find the time... right now, it's hard to stop playing through this thing!

Hey LesPaul6 - Happy New Year! Actually, I was contemplating getting my JCM800 modded, but I ended up buying the Marsha from him... I figured it would be better for Dave to work his magic on the components of his choice to get the full effect.

Now I do have a friend, who picked up a 1959 Plexi Reissue, and had the Friedman mods installed, and that sounds incredible.

As far as I know, the Marsha is PCB not PTP - but shoot Dave an email just the same - I'm sure he'll give you the front page on the technical stuff!

Peace!

happy new year! yeah, I talked with him about the mods and pricing before the holiday's...I'm still deciding between his and Martin's crunch mod from LA sound designs. Green Days live tone is really good through those modded marshalls. The base amp is a reissue 1959. Post some clips when you get a chance..
