Thanks, Marc. Agreed a set of Petty would be fun. Perhaps they will announce soon. By the way, I just saw the Halloween show is up on Muletracks.

I went to this show and the year after with Little Milton. Never has a girlfriend been so pissed at me (for the mega-hours of both shows).

Although I saw them 50-70 times or so, dating back to 1995 (I think), I got kinda burned out on them until Jorgen joined. I would catch them at Wanee every year, but I really got back on board the bus fully when I caught this stream. Great show.

And to original poster, congrats on seeing them live.

I don't remember it taking this long to announce one of their NYE shows and this will be my ninth straight Happy Mule Year.

Missed it yesterday and just saw they announced "The Rocking Mule Revue" for the New Year's Eve show. Jackie Greene, Shawn Pelton, The Chronic Horns, and The Better Half Singers. Still not clear if there will be a specific theme but should be fun whatever they come up with.

They were just in Tulsa in October. Took my dad to the show, it was killer as usual. I think my ears still haven't recovered. Lol

Interesting. It could be anything. I'm thinking maybe Motown or something of the sort given the horns.

I was a huge Mule fan for many years and after seeing them live about 8 or 9 times, I became bored with them; especially live. They put my buddies to sleep every time. LOL
I really was digging them back around 2007 - 2008.

bums me out when he brings a guest horn player out to join them and then all you hear for the next half hour is a horn solo. makes me want my money back.

Pretty good show last night! The theme ended up being revolution/change (makes sense following the album they released this year). As the second set progressed I was waiting for Revolution by The Beatles and surprised they did not play it. Overall I enjoyed it more than last year's NYE show (where they celebrated the artists that passed away in 2016) but not as much as two years ago (when they did the Dead, Band, and Allmans sets in a nod to Watkins Glen). Here is the setlist: http://mule.net/road/beacon-theatre-33/

Awesome set list! I'll definitely be buying this one. Their NYE shows are legendary for a reason. Pretty consistent from year to year.

Thanks for the recap. First one I’ve missed in ten years. Have a horrible flu and just couldn’t do it.

Yep. Saw it on Youtube. He sounds incredible for that sort of stuff. The whole band nailed it.

Looks like the New Year's Eve theme will be The Beatles as they posted an illustration of the Abbey Road cover art but with mules. Should be a great show!

Congrats! I'm the opposite. I seen them so many times that I couldn't care less if I ever saw them again. LOL Awesome band, especially live!

One of the coolest things I’ve ever done was to see their Dark Side of the Mule show at Red Rocks last year. The download may be the best live album I’ve ever heard, but I keep telling myself I’m just biased since I was there.
