    Hi...

I am working on a Laney AOR 50 head. I got it for super cheap since it was dead. Well I got lucky and it just needed new FX loop jacks.

I also noticed that the first preamp volume control is going bad. It is a push-pull pot that activates the extra gain stage.

Any idea where I can find one of these?

The markings on it are terrible, but from looking at the schematics, I think it is a 100KB SPST push/pull audio pot.

    Any ideas?

Here is a copy of the schematic:

Congrats on the amp score and cheap fix. Replacement pots w/switch should be available from Mouser , Antique electronics supply and probably quite a few more suppliers as well. I'd suggest you try cleaning the pot first before condeming it though . A little tuner cleaner can often bring a pot back to useable condition. Hope this helps.

hmm.. I searched mouser and antique electronics and couldn't find anything.

I also checked Mojo, Weber, and New Sensor.

I will look harder tonight. I sprayed some MCL right before I left work work this AM. I will check it tonight and see if that helped. I figured I would do some homework just in case.
