Finger gauge and tone...

Hi,

I wonder if any of you have experienced how finger gauge can affect your tone.
We all know tone is in the fingers.

It seems fat fingers give a fatter tone, but do thin fingers necessarily mean a thinner tone ?
Is there any kind of impact on finger lattice ?

I like to eat some fat chicken before a gig, when I wanna fatten my tone.
Any experience to share ?

Please note this thread must end at midnight today.
Cheers,

Lohran

I wash my hands with pumise soap - changes my tone into a lava flowing clean grit.

The only way to sound like there's chicken grease on your fingers
is to actually have chicken grease on your fingers.
I prefer a combination of flesh and nail and wing.
In a pinch , I will run to the kitchen for old school lard.

Ok guys, thanks for sharing, that was helpful.
Since we should aim to improve the weakest link in our tone chain, shouldn't we all get rid of all our pedals and focus on our pinky ?
Is getting a fat pinky the ultimate quest for tone ?
Thoughts ? (but please do not post about replica our counterfeit pinkies).
