Anyone seen a 94' or 95' pinkburst music man Albert Lee lately?
I have a '94. But I haven't thought much of selling it. Great guitar.
Me too. Love it.
They don't come up that often used. The new ones (AL BFR) have the pinkburst finish, though, and they can be had new. And the mahagony tone block that they're doing in a number of their guitars.
Just curious, how is the finish on these? Is it poly or nitro? How big are the necks?
High gloss poly finish. Neck is fantastic. All MM necks are finished with oil and gunstock wax, no lacquer. Feels like bare wood, very slick. Truss rod is exposed and a cinch to work, so you can tweak the neck very quickly when you need to.
Size wise, it's not big, it's not small. 10" radius. Feels like strat neck, but better.
I owned one of the pink ones from the first year they were made and the neck on it was really close to the EVHMM's of the time but maybe a shade thinner depth wise. I was playing two EVHMM's at the time and thought have one of these with single coils would be cool to have. I ended up not liking the guitar because it didn't have a whammy bar and it was too lite.
