Started on classical. Spanish Romance. Played it for an all school assembly in fourth grade, and didn't do half bad.

I think it was Rock You Like A Hurricane by The Scorpions. I know for sure the first guitar solo I learned was Talk Dirty To Me by Poison.

It was either the Beatles' "Back in the USSR" or Cheap Trick's "Surrender."

First hard rock music I got into, I clearly remember my older brother coming home with the record and listening to it with the neighbor kids. It blew me away at the time - what is this?!??! When I got my first guitar a couple years later this was the first song I ever learned, just the basic chords.

I moved on pretty quickly. But still, I was beyond excited that finally my guitar sounded like those guitars you hear on radio. (Can't remember who the person was who told me about distortion.)

It was "Get back" by the Beatles...it was the first lesson in my guitar book back in 1982 and I still know I was the happiest guy on earth after I could play it ...
I knew: guitar will be my best friend til the end of time..:)

House of the Rising Sun. Figured out the chords by ear/memory on the auto-harp at summer camp one year. When I eventually took up guitar a few years later, I think this was probably the first thing I taught myself. But hell, that was 49 years ago...I can't honestly say I truly remember that, lol.
