Finally finished this one for a friend of mine
who is in a upcoming band:
    Specs:
    Hwy1 body,neck and hardware
Pups: Dimarzio Area T - neck and bridge
3 way toggle, tone and volume

The original navy blue finish was stripped and sanded
I re-finished it and made the new pickguard, wired it
up and it sounds great. The bridge pup competes with
the lollar in my tele, suprisingly enough and no noise.
He used it on the new 3 track cd being sent to some
labels. When he gives me the go ahead I will post the
    tracks.

Now that is a snazzy unit! I love the pickguard. Did you make it or buy it? Never seen anything like that. And how come only two pups?

made the pickguard. I have enough to make more
    if you would like one.
2 pups because he doesn't like the in between tones -
mostly plays an SG and wanted more of a tele sound.

Nah. I just thought it was cool. Even cooler a person and not a machine made it.

Cool! You could call it the Strelecaster.

I'll take it! Could you make a Tele 'guard out of it? If so - or just want to share the stuff uncut - please email me (in my profile).

    Thanks!

    Tele guard is no problem.
I have a template for a 52 guard, would that work?

I am sure it would - I would prefer a 5-screw (like an original '52) and routed for a humbucker. Possible?

If you are serious, I would really appreciate an email - this would be great! Please do check my profile and drop me a line.

Nice looking wood! If I saw that guitar in a store, I would pick it up and try it. The combination of Strat and Tele components looks verrrrrrry interesting!

I like to call it my "Stra-telecaster" or "Straddle-a-caster". If you want to hear clips of it, check out myspace.com/adenvermile . Almost every guitar tone in "Queen Elizabeth" and "Burn Bright" are this guitar through a Bogner Shiva dry or with a few pedals (Timmy, Ernie, Blue Collar). Listen to them soon though, as the songs will be off line again in the next couple of days.
