Lovely subtle flame on my '90 Jackson Fusion Professional Pro. Grabbed this badass machine for under $200 (always great when GC has no idea what they're selling). Also has a flame maple back!
I really wish this forum was updated to allow direct download from my computer to post pics...I just have to much to do and to many passwords tom have to open ONE MORE site just to post a picture....
This one is in progress and while you cant really see the end result....the flame will be outstanding on this piece! LOL
Cosmetics are never my first consideration when buying a guitar, but I gots me some nice flame tops in spite of that... here's one of them:
it has a rather nice flame back as well...
This one's relatively recent but I've developed and enduring fondness for it:
and my McCarty's one piece flame top is one of its many stellar attributes:
2014 Les Paul Standard in ocean blue perimeter
2018 Les Paul Traditional in honeyburst
2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst
This would look way better outside in the sun...
I’ve never felt comfortable playing flamey topped guitars (and in fact currently only have one figured top, a very quilted Suhr) - something about them felt tacky to me to play... That’s just my own self, of course.
That being said, there are some seriously tasty works of art on display in this thread! Some really beautiful stuff!
Is that a solid hunk of maple? That's sweet
